The projects contribute to the young people's environmental education and increase their awareness of the international context in which they live. Youth for healthy lifestyle - The starting point is the interest expressed by young people themselves to the chosen theme.
According to the research of the World Health Organisation in 21 European countries and Canada, the Slovak Republic has the world primacy in the number of young people aged 11-13 (25% of girls and 50% of boys) that start smoking. Alcohol is the most frequently used drug in Slovakia. Especially endangered are young people for whom the consumption of alcohol becomes an entrance gate for subsequent abuse of illegal drugs. Great percentage of young people in Slovakia is unemployed.
Bringing together young people from different regions and countries to work in ecovillgages can stimulate their awareness towards lifestyles and explore together the process of self-discipline and healing power of nature. Eco-farm project in STARA TURA involves a group of unemployed young people and gets them all working together towards a clear goal - ecological gardening and personal growth. Establishing the youth ecovillage offers the opportunity for professional growth and also space for self-discovery, self-discipline in community life.
As volunteers they have chance to improve their ecological consciousness and skills. And receiving the volunteers from abroad they have the opportunity of linking together in an environmental project.
The Great Bear is stress-management program for young people, members and new members of the European Union. The preparation of the Program resulted in strengthening cooperation with the ICY (The Information Centre of Youths) and starting regular discussions on Stress management at high schools. The inter-cultural dimension has been integrated in a daily program. It reflects primarily in Cultural Exchanges where the participants from all partnership organizations in small groups will discuss particular topics. We hope that in such a way a common discussion and an interest for exchange of experiences would arise among participants. It seems to be a great contribution that the youths come from groups of similar attitudes, and so they could easily make contacts and discuss the topics of a common interest.

Youth exchanges and youth encounters bring young people into contact with other
cultures and other realities and provide them with opportunities to discuss
specific themes, lifestyles, ecology, protection of the environment, organic
agriculture and gardening, healthy food, stop to plastic bags, packages, the
future consequences of our actions today, living in the nature, how to preserve
our world and live in the cities free from poverty.

Hut in Strazov forest is the traditional place for children especially during summer holidays. There is a School in nature - a modern way of education. Children are able to absorb teaching better and understand the law of nature - unity of all and activity of all. Nobody in nature is lazy. When there is no wind, there is no rain, there is neither mineral water, nor vegetables and fruits, without rain, etc.
