Slovak-Indian Friendship Society was founded in 1990 and transformed into civil association in 1997 with the aim of promoting the values of mutual respect and understanding between the EAST and the WEST. And by the means of multicultural exchange, intercultural learning and non-formal education to foster equality and good relations between all people regardless of race, religion or origin. Our more than 30 years´ effort lies in how to ensure that people of different ethnic backgrounds, race, customs or religion can live peacefully together. The aim is to promote through environmental education and similar activities, an awareness of the positive advantages of cultural and ethnic, religious diversity to a country's social, economic and spiritual life, and thereby to help people of differing backgrounds to live together in harmony.
Our society fully supports holistic approach in Environment. To protect and
heal Mother Earth we are based on the interdisciplinary standpoint. Very
effective is medical and environmental link, ecology and education, personal
growth and social, economical progress. Some people are motivated by nature
itself but others found their way to Nature through Naturopathy, or World Peace
Activities, etc. Collaboration of different areas of life helps to protect our
planet.
